Job summary

Vital Care Infusion Services seeks a seasoned supervisor to lead the Reimbursement Specialist team, overseeing intake, billing, and collections. You will serve as the main liaison with franchise partners, payers, and patients.

The role requires supervising staff, ensuring quality and compliance, and implementing efficient operating procedures while driving customer service excellence across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business or equivalent work experience preferred.
• 2-3 years of experience is required in an infusion setting.
• Minimum 3 years of supervisor experience required.
• Knowledge of Vital Care systems, including CareTend, and the RCM Portal.
• Knowledge of Payer Compliance.

Responsibilities

• Supervise team in processing new patient referrals, insurance benefits investigation and verifications, prior authorizations, billing, and collections.
• Manage Reimbursement Specialist schedules to reallocate resources to meet KPIs; track workload distribution and assess staffing opportunities.
• Serve as escalation agent for franchise partners or patients complaints.
• Implement, communicate, and maintain operating procedures covering quality, compliance, and performance expectations.
• Monitor team results to ensure quality and productivity standards and identify improvement opportunities.
• Collaborate with Payor/Benefit support programs to resolve missing claims reports and handle member escalations.
• Establish customer service standards of excellence and train staff in customer service and collection techniques.
• Reconcile reimbursement checks against claims for some programs.
• Oversee training and guidance to improve staff skills in patient insurance billing and collections.
• Audit transactions for accuracy and proper escalation; correct and resubmit rejections.
• Interview, select, train, and mentor department associates; communicate performance metrics.
• Evaluate performance and provide counseling and cross-training opportunities.
• Perform related duties as assigned.
