Job summary

OB Hospitalist Group is seeking a talented RCM Educator of Coding and Charge Capture to educate hospitalists, midwives, nurse practitioners and staff on coding guidelines and Patient Keeper usage from our Greenville, SC area. The role supports onboarding and ongoing training across our obstetric hospitalist programs.

The position emphasizes teaching, compliance with coding standards, and advancing charge capture accuracy while working within the Coding and Compliance Office framework.

Qualifications

• Certified Professional Coder (CPC) from AAPC.
• Degree or equivalent in healthcare management, compliance or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of coding experience.
• Teaching or public speaking experience is helpful when educating physicians.
• Understanding of Medicaid coding regulations is a plus.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy.

Responsibilities

• Train clinicians on charge capture in Patient Keeper.
• Conduct web-based Patient Keeper training for clinicians.
• Determine education needs for coding education with the Manager of RCM Coding.
• Review onboarding to ensure accurate charge capture and documentation.
• Develop and roll out billing and coding policies and procedures.
• Maintain current online training materials.
• Align work with Coding and Compliance Office standards.
