Job summary

Ob Hospitalist Group (OBHG) is seeking a Medical Coder with an Edit and Charge Review focus to review charge suggestions for obstetric and GYN services. This remote role prefers East Coast and SC Upstate candidates and offers hourly pay plus bonus eligibility, full-time status, and benefits.

The role emphasizes coding validation, CPT/HCPCS/ICD-10 accuracy, and efficient queue management within the revenue cycle.

Qualifications

• Certified AAPC Coder
• Associate or Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education/experience
• Proficient with Microsoft 365 Office suite, including Excel
• Ability to handle highly confidential materials and HIPAA compliance

Responsibilities

• Review clinician-entered charge suggestions and resolve coding edits
• Validate CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10 coding per documentation
• Manage billing and insurance follow-up, and charge entry
• Analyze and resolve charge-entry coding errors
• Support revenue cycle processes with reporting and trend analysis
• Operate with eBridge, Putty and Lyra software for coding tasks
• Produce reports using Excel and Word
• Maintain high accuracy in a high-volume environment while adhering to payer rules
