Job summary

OB Hospitalist Group (OBHG) is seeking a Medical Coder focused on edit review and charge validation. The role emphasizes reviewing clinician-entered charge suggestions, correcting coding edits, and ensuring accurate CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10 coding within obstetric and GYN services.

This remote, full-time position offers a monthly bonus program, health and 401(k) benefits, generous PTO, and values-based culture. East Coast and SC Upstate candidates are preferred.

Qualifications

• Certified AAPC Coder.
• Associate or Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent.
• Proficient with Microsoft 365; Excel skills.
• Experience with billing and follow-up with insurers.
• Ability to handle confidential materials.

Responsibilities

• Review clinician-entered charge suggestions and resolve coding edits.
• Validate charge accuracy and manage coding queues in OB/GYN services.
• Review CPT/HCPCS/ ICD-10 coding and correct discrepancies.
• Analyze and report coding errors and trends.
• Maintain knowledge of HIPAA and revenue cycle processes.
