Job summary

Redwood Family Care Network in Santa Rosa, CA is seeking a Direct Support Professional to support adults with developmental disabilities, promoting health, safety, and well-being while advocating for a better quality of life. This full-time role offers AM/PM shifts and competitive compensation.

Hourly rate ranges from $20.00 to $22.00, depending on certifications and role. Requirements include a DSP certificate, California driver's license, background check, and First Aid/CPR training.

Qualifications

• Direct Support Professional Certificate – DSP Year 1 & Year 2 (Must obtain within first 12 months of Hire)
• Obtain your RBT within the 1st Year of Employment
• First Aid/CPR & CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention (Preferred or willing to obtain)
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Must have a California Driver’s License
• Candidate must successfully pass all pre-employment requirements, including but not limited to a background check.

Responsibilities

• Promote health, safety and well-being of individuals with developmental disabilities
• Advocate to improve quality of life for clients ages 60+ requiring assisted living
• Outline and prepare daily routines for clients per Individual Program Plan
• Assist clients with bathroom needs
• Change clients' undergarments and/or clothing if needed
• Prepare daily meals and assist with clean-up
• Pick-up/drop-off clients in company vans from/to their home/facility

Here's What You'll Do:

The Direct Support Professionalsupports individuals with developmental disabilities by promoting their health, safety and well-being. Our Direct Support Professionals proudly serve as an advocate to improve the overall quality of life for our clients ensuring high-quality services and supports for adults ages 60+ requiring assisted living.

Essential Functions:

• Outline and prepare daily routine(s) for clients' (visual and active) as written in Individual Program Plan.
• Assist clients with bathroom needs.
• Change clients' undergarments and/or clothing if needed.
• Prepare daily meals and assist with clean-up.
• Pick-up/drop-off clients in company vans from/to their home/facility (if necessary).

Shifts Needed:

AM: Tuesday -Friday 6:00AM - 2:00PM

PM: Tuesday- Friday 2:00PM- 10:00PM

Education and Experience:

• Direct Support Professional Certificate – DSP Year 1 & Year 2 (Must obtain within first 12 months of Hire)
• Obtain your RBT within the 1st Year of Employment
• First Aid/CPR & CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention (Preferred or willing to obtain)
• Must be at least 21 years of age

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to lift 30lbs.
• Able to work both indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.
