Job summary

Redwood Family Care Network is seeking a Direct Support Professional in Ridgecrest, CA to promote health, safety and well-being for individuals with developmental disabilities. You will advocate for enhanced quality of life while following individualized plans and schedules.

The role requires 21+ years of age, a CA driver’s license, and successful pre-employment background checks. Flexible shifts available, with full-time benefits and annual training opportunities.

Qualifications

• Direct Support Professional Certificate – DSP Year 1 & Year 2 (Must obtain within first 12 months of Hire).
• First Aid/CPR & CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention (Preferred or willing to obtain).
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must have a California Driver's License.
• Candidate must successfully pass all pre-employment requirements, including but not limited to a background check.

Responsibilities

• Outline and prepare daily routine(s) for clients' (visual and active) as written in Individual Program Plan.
• Assist clients with bathroom needs.
• Change clients' undergarments and/or clothing if needed.
• Prepare daily meals and assist with clean-up.
• Pick-up/drop-off clients in company vans from/to their home/facility (if necessary).

Job Title: Direct Support Professional
Hourly Rate: $21.00/hr.
Shifts Needed: Monday-Friday 8:00-2:00PM or 8:00-3:30PM
Job Status: Full Time
