Job summary

Redwood Family Care Network is seeking a Direct Support Professional in Los Angeles, CA. The role involves promoting clients’ health, safety, and well-being, acting as an advocate to improve quality of life for individuals with disabilities.

Responsibilities include daily routine planning, personal care, meal prep, and client transport as needed. Requires 21+ years, California license, and passing a background check; CSP/CPI and DSP certs preferred or obtainable within 2 years.

Qualifications

• Direct Support Professional Certificate Year 1 & Year 2 preferred or willing to obtain within first 2 years of hire.
• First Aid / CPR and CPI preferred or willing to obtain.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must have a California Driver’s License.
• Candidate must successfully pass all pre-employment requirements, including background check.

• Outline and prepare daily routines for clients as written in Individual Program Plan.
• Assist clients with bathroom needs.
• Change clients' undergarments and/or clothing if needed.
• Prepare daily meals and assist with clean-up.
• Pick-up/drop-off clients in company vans from/to their home/facility (if necessary).

Job Title: Direct Support Professional
Hourly Rate: $18 .50 - $19.50/hr.
Shifts Needed: AM Monday - Saturday
Job Status: Part Time
Work Locations: Los Angeles, CA (Ladera Heights area)

Here’s What You’ll Do:

The Direct Support Professional supports individuals with developmental disabilities by promoting their health, safety and well-being. Our Direct Support Professionals proudly serve as an advocate to improve the overall quality of life for our clients.

Education and Experience:

• Direct Support Professional Certificate Year 1 & Year 2 (Preferred or willing to obtain within the first 2 years of hire)

• Must be able to lift 30lbs.
