West Hartford Public Schools is seeking a full-time Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) for Whiting Lane Elementary School. Prior work with special education and students with social-emotional-behavioral needs is preferred.

Responsibilities include implementing IEP goals, data collection, and supporting behavioral and academic needs. Requirements include completion of a 40-hour RBT training plus BCBA supervision hours, passing the RBT Competency Assessment, and ongoing certification.

Competenze

• Must have completed 40-hour RBT training and supervised hours by a BCBA.
• Must achieve a passing score on the RBT Competency Assessment.
• Must pass the initial RBT examination and annual recertification process.
• Must hold or be able to obtain certification in Physical Management Training.
• Applicant must be at least 18 years old and have completed high school or equivalent, with background checks.

• Implement student Behavior Intervention Plans.
• Maintain and report student records.
• Communicate with classroom teachers regarding student progress.
• Perform Physical Management in emergency situations.
• Comply with the RBT Ethics Code.
• Perform other duties as assigned by a supervising BCBA or Pupil Services Supervisor.
