Job summary

East Haven Public Schools is hiring a Registered Behavioral Technician (RBT) to provide clinical skills instruction and implement behavior reduction protocols for students with developmental disabilities in district schools. The RBT will collect data, support training for parents and staff, and assist psychologists and teachers as needed.

The position requires maintaining RBT certification, adherence to ethics, and ongoing supervision.

Qualifications

• Provide direct student care in 1:1 and group settings using intensive teaching and natural environment training.
• Follow prescribed behavioral skill acquisition and maladaptive behavior reduction protocols.
• Collect, record, and summarize data on observable student behavior.
• Assist with parent and caregiver training in line with treatment plans.
• Maintain student confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA/FERPA.
• Attend required training sessions to maintain clinical skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct student care in 1:1 and group settings.

• Assist with communication between parents, staff, and specialists.
• Participate in counseling and meetings as needed.
