Job summary

New Fairfield Public Schools' New Fairfield Elementary is seeking a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to support students’ behavioral, social, and educational growth under BCBA supervision. This role involves implementing Behavior Intervention Plans, collecting data, and collaborating with teachers and families to promote positive progress.

Starting immediately, the position offers a competitive hourly rate and full-time benefits.

Qualifications

• Completion of the 40-hour RBT training course and required supervised fieldwork hours under a BCBA.
• Successful completion of the RBT Competency Assessment and RBT Examination.
• Commitment to ongoing annual recertification and supervision requirements.

Responsibilities

• Implement Behavior Intervention Plans with fidelity under the supervision of a BCBA.
• Collect, record, and report behavioral data accurately and efficiently.
• Carry out instructional and behavioral activities as designed by a certified teacher or BCBA, including ABA-based interventions and DTI sessions.
• Maintain and update student progress records and communicate with the team regarding behavioral and instructional progress.
• Collaborate with teachers and pupil services staff to support student academic and behavioral needs.
