Job summary

Trex Company is seeking a capable hourly team lead to coordinate and guide raw material teams, ensuring adherence to 6S and safety. You will monitor production flow, verify material availability, and maintain data accuracy across systems. You’ll link hourly staff with salaried supervisors, support training, and step in as backup supervisor as needed.

The role requires forklift certification, strong communication, and a proactive approach to problem solving within a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

Familiarity with internal inventory and tracking systems.
Certified on forklifts (up to G50).
Must be able to work with large data in Microsoft Office.
Strong problem solving, communication, and organisational skills.
Safety minded and detail oriented.
Willing to train others and adapt quickly.

Responsibilities

Coordinate and guide hourly team members, deliver tier meetings and 6S compliance.
Reinforce safety rules, PPE adherence and safe working environment.
Facilitate workflow and shift handoffs; ensure material readiness.
Monitor quality and data accuracy; ensure documentation is correct.
Serve as communication link between hourly team and salaried supervisors.
Partner with training to onboard and develop staff.
Act as backup supervisor in absences and handle escalations.
