Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Propulsion Technician (Raptor Production Machining) on the 2nd shift in Hawthorne, CA. This role handles manufacturing, assembly, and testing of rocket hardware and sub-assemblies, requiring precision, problem solving, and the ability to work autonomously on defined schedules.

You will read technical drawings and operate test cells, borescopes, and multiple tools while upholding safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1+ year of manufacturing experience required.
• Willing to work 2nd shift and overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Grind, file, or sand surfaces of metal items using hand and power tools.
• Read and interpret technical drawings and follow work instructions.
• Inspect finishes, threads and edges for quality and conformance.
• Operate test cells and associated instrumentation and software.
