Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Propulsion Technician focused on Raptor production machining to fabricate and assemble rocket hardware and sub-assemblies. The role emphasizes safety and quality, with autonomy to meet defined schedules and the need to troubleshoot anomalies across different systems.

Key duties include finishing, inspecting parts, operating test cells, and handling heavy equipment. A first shift (5:00 AM - 3:30 PM) with overtime/weekend hours is required, with compensation ranging by level

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 4+ years of manufacturing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Grind, file, or sand surfaces of metal items using hand/tools.
• Chase machine cut threads to size.
• Polish tight tolerance surface finishes.
• Wash parts after deburr process.
• Inspect surface finishes, threads, and edges.
• Remove defects and smooth uneven surfaces.
• Use tools to remove chips/debris from passages.
• Borescope parts to check for internal defects.
• Read and interpret technical drawings and work instructions.
