SpaceX in Hawthorne, California, is seeking a Propulsion Technician for the Raptor Chamber & Nozzle Assembly & Final Assembly, Levels 4/5, on the 2nd shift. The role covers assembling and testing rocket hardware, reading technical drawings, and operating precision equipment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; 6+ years in production, mechanical, or manufacturing.
• Willingness to learn; ability to work autonomously on defined schedules with safety and quality in mind.
• Experience in aerospace environment preferred; knowledge of propulsion engines and related systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and test rocket hardware and sub-assemblies for propulsion systems.
• Read and interpret technical drawings; follow procedures and test instructions.
• Operate machinery such as DAVI roll former, automated TIG welding machine, and hydro-forming equipment.
• Run automated surface preparation or thermal barrier coating processes.
• Use precision tools (torque wrenches, micrometers, calipers) and maintain a clean, safe work area.
• Troubleshoot anomalies in engines and cell systems; inspect and stage assemblies for testing.
