SpaceX in Hawthorne, CA is seeking a Propulsion Technician for Raptor Chamber, Nozzle Assembly and Final Assembly, Level 4/5 on 2nd shift. You will assemble and test rocket hardware with high precision and safety.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
• 6+ years of experience in production, mechanical, or manufacturing environments.

Responsibilities

• Assemble main combustion chamber assemblies and sub-assemblies for EB/Laser/Tig welding or brazing.
• Follow procedures, specs, and test instructions.
• Operate DAVI roll former, TIG welding machine, and hydro-forming equipment.
• Run surface prep and thermal barrier coating processes.
• Read and interpret technical drawings and follow work instructions.
• Use torque wrenches, micrometers, and calipers with precision.
• Stage, install, test and de-tool thrust chamber assemblies as required.
• Troubleshoot engines and propulsion cell systems.
