Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a CNC Machinist (RAPTOR) for the 2nd shift in Hawthorne, CA. You will operate CNC machines to produce flight hardware, deburr parts, and perform precision set-ups while maintaining shop organization and tool readiness.

Responsibilities include cutting tool management, weekly/monthly preventative maintenance, and ensuring quality through inspections. Overtime and weekend hours are required for this role, with a pay range per level.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1+ years of manufacturing experience preferred.
• Strong reading, writing, and arithmetic skills are necessary.
• Familiarity with shop math, blueprint reading and measurement.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and teamwork are essential.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC machines and produce flight hardware to meet production goals.
• Deburr hardware and inspect surface finishes, threads and edges.
• Perform precision set-ups on CNC machines and manage cutting tools.
• Maintain 5S and general upkeep of the shop area.
• Complete work instructions and test plans documenting data.
