Job summary

Walgreens offers an accelerated Store Manager development program in the United States. You will learn store operations across front-end and pharmacy, shadow the Store Manager, and complete rotations to prepare for a Store Manager role.

The program includes classroom and on-the-job training, certifications, and hands-on experience with Walgreens’ systems. You’ll gain exposure to customer service, inventory management, loss prevention, and performance coaching throughout your learning journey.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 3 years retail management experience, or a high school diploma with 5 years of retail management experience.
• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including extended days, evenings, and weekend hours.
• Willingness to transfer to other Walgreens retail assets within the same hiring area.

Responsibilities

• Learn Walgreens' operations and lead one-box store operations across front-end and pharmacy.
• Shadow Store Manager to gain experience in opening/closing shifts and delegating tasks.
• Support customer experience through coaching and improving service metrics.
• Develop plans to improve business results, including sales opportunities and cost control.
• Learn to manage inventory, asset protection, and HR systems.
