Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred
• One year of dispatching experience preferred
• Basic computer skills (Word/Outlook/Excel) required
• Working knowledge of computer systems essential
• Basic healthcare security concepts understood

Responsibilities

• Prioritize responses to routine and emergency calls using problem-solving and de-escalation techniques
• Monitor alarms, burglar, fire, duress and card access systems
• Manage incoming telephone and radio calls and provide critical information to stakeholders
• Monitor video surveillance and document security-related incidents
• Orient and train new personnel and gain knowledge of Mercyhealth hospital layouts
