Job summary

Corewell Health in Grand Rapids is seeking a Security Central Dispatch professional to monitor alarms such as HUGS, Panic Alarms, FireWorks, and Responders 5 Code Boxes, triage security requests, and dispatch resources across a fast-paced hospital setting.

You will document calls for service using CAD, RMS, and LEIN, coordinate officer activity, and maintain detailed records with exceptional customer service and multitasking under pressure.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 2 years of customer service experience preferred.
• Associate's degree or equivalent in Facilities, Criminal Justice, Security, Public Administration or related field preferred.
• 2 years Telecommunications experience preferred.
• 1 year of experience using a two-way radio system.
• Experience with CAD/RMS/LEIN or related dispatch/work order software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary contact for Security Services, Plant Operations, and Environmental Services.
• Operate a virtual switchboard and route callers using on-call information.
• Monitor internal emergency systems and coordinate responses.
• Record incidents and officer actions in CAD, RMS, and LEIN.
• Coordinate officer activity, shuttle services, and escorts via multi-frequency radios.
• Document and maintain confidential records of communications.
