Job summary

Baylor St. Luke’s Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse to deliver compassionate, high‑quality care and drive optimal patient outcomes. You will perform assessments, develop and implement care plans, and collaborate within an interdisciplinary team to support recovery and safety.

Required: BSN and 1 year RN experience; CPR within 14 days and ACLS within 6 months. Central role in a fast-paced hospital setting with emphasis on patient-first care.

Qualifications

• BSN required; 1 year RN experience preferred.
• Basic Life Support (CPR) required within 14 days of hire.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient condition upon admission and continuously. Provide comprehensive nursing care across physical, psychological, and spiritual needs.
• Plan, direct, and document the care plan; educate patients/families; coordinate discharge planning.
• Prepare patients for treatments and procedures; report significant changes promptly to physicians and leadership.
• Reassess after interventions and adjust care as patient needs evolve; ensure patient safety and protocol adherence.
• Give and receive bedside reports to ensure continuity of care between shifts.
