Job summary

Cheshire and Wirral Partnership NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting a Mental Health Rapid Response Worker to deliver compassionate, person-centred care for patients in mental health crisis across AED departments. You will conduct observations, provide reassurance, and support safe transport between healthcare settings in partnership with clinical teams and emergency services.

Qualifications

• Experience providing compassionate, person-centred care in mental health settings.
• Ability to work effectively in urgent care pathways with multidisciplinary teams.
• Commitment to safeguarding, dignity and wellbeing of patients.

Responsibilities

• Provide enhanced care and therapeutic engagement to patients in mental health crisis in AED departments.
• Complete patient observations and support safe transportation of patients between settings.
• Support patients detained under the Mental Health Act and those under Section 136 as required.
• Collaborate with clinical teams, emergency services and partner agencies to ensure safe, compassionate care.
