Job summary

Eurofins is seeking a Laboratory Technician to support rapid microbiological testing in a GMP-regulated laboratory in Grand Island, NE. The role involves performing microbiological analyses using traditional and rapid methods, maintaining accuracy, and ensuring compliance with quality standards.

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with team members and contributing to data integrity, method transfers, and continual improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Microbiology, Biology, Biotechnology, Life Sciences, or a related scientific discipline.
• 0-3 years of laboratory experience in microbiology or related regulated industries.
• Basic understanding of aseptic technique and microbiological laboratory practices.

Responsibilities

• Perform microbiological testing of food products using approved methodologies.
• Execute rapid microbiological methods (RMM) and automated detection systems.
• Prepare media, reagents, and samples according to SOPs and requirements.
• Conduct routine laboratory activities including sample receipt, processing, incubation, result interpretation, and reporting.
• Maintain accurate laboratory documentation in line with cGMP, GLP, and data integrity requirements.
