- This position requires shift work to provide coverage on evenings, weekends, holidays, or special situations. Employee shifts are rotated on a regularly scheduled basis
- Due to the nature of this position, employees are required to work both planned and unscheduled overtime.
- Incumbent must obtain and maintain equipment operator's qualification record (DA 348).

Specialized Experience
One year of specialized experience which includes: Providing thorough instructions for policing of all ammunition, brass, debris, trash, and residue by using units; operating a computer on automated ranges and maneuver live fire ranges; and completing physical security checks of the ranges/facilities within the range operations complex. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service GS-06.
Time in Grade Requirement
Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-06).

- Position may be filled as a time-limited promotion, reassignment or change to lower grade not to exceed (NTE) 2 Years by a current permanent Army employee. Time-limited promotions may be extended up to a maximum of five years. Time-limited reassignments and changes to lower grade may exceed five years, however return rights may be impacted. Position may be made permanent without further competition.
