Job summary

Troon’s Harry Semrow Range in Des Plaines, IL is hiring a Part-Time Range Attendant to open the practice range, stock balls and clubs, and help maintain a clean, professional environment for golfers.

Responsibilities include assisting Pro Shop, enforcing course policies, and performing duties assigned by a supervisor. Bonus mowing tasks may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, with 1–3 months related experience or training.
• Ability to learn and enforce course policies, rules, and regulations.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Ability to use equipment and tools safely.
• Ability to work well in fast-paced environment.
• Must have strong communication skills.
• Must be dependable.

Harry Semrow Driving Range, located in Des Plaines, IL, is pleased to announce an excellent career opportunity for a Part-Time Range Attendant! We are seeking a driven individual who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow within a fast-paced hospitality-focused property organization. As part of Troon, you will contribute to a global leader in golf and community management.

Compensation: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour

Position Responsibilities:

Ensure the practice range is open and ready for players in the morning.

Replaces golf balls and clubs in racks for use by driving range patrons.

Maintain a professional appearance.

Ensure the clubhouse and practice range areas are kept orderly and clean, including restrooms and trash cans.

Work closely with Pro Shop staff to prepare for golf operations.

Implement and support all course policies and programs as communicated by management.

Qualifications, Knowledge and Skill Requirements:

Working knowledge of the rules of golf is preferred.

Ability to learn and enforce course policies, rules, and regulations.

Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.

Ability to use equipment and tools properly and safely.

Ability to work well in fast paced environment.

Must have strong communication skills.

Must be dependable.

Minimum Qualifications for the Range Attendant:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Other Qualifications:

• Possesses basic math skills.
• Regular and reliable attendance.
