Job summary

Drover is seeking a Rancher Success Manager to lead our trial ranch in Lockhart, TX, and serve as the frontline contact for ranchers adopting our virtual fencing tech. You’ll work closely with software and hardware engineers, guiding deployments and translating field learnings into product direction.

This hands-on role requires ranch experience, comfort with new tech, and willingness to travel nationally. Austin/Lockhart base option with strong team collaboration and growth potential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years experience working on a family ranch or as a ranch-hand.
• Comfortable with technology and pragmatic about making it work in the field.
• High energy, self-directed, and happy traveling to operations.
• Strong communicator, in person and over the phone.
• Willing to relocate to the Austin or Lockhart, Texas area, and willing to travel to customer ranches.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Run day-to-day operations at our trial ranch in Lockhart: tagging, moving cattle with the system, and running structured trials with the engineering team.
• Lead deployments on customer ranches, from initial setup and training through to ranchers running the system on their own.
• Be on call for customer issues, troubleshoot in the field, and escalate to engineering when needed.
• Gather feedback from ranchers and turn it into clear product direction for the engineering team.
• Field inbound interest from ranchers across the country and keep prospective customers engaged.
• Represent Drover with the founders at rodeos, trade shows, and in the ranching community.
