Responsibilities

  • Work with a new team to ensure customer shipments arrive safely and on time.
  • Support Delta’s brand through professionalism and a positive attitude.
  • Pick, load, unload, and transfer bags, mail, and cargo to and from aircraft.
  • Ensure timely connections by directing incoming and outgoing flights from the gate level.
  • Protect cargo and mail from damage, loss, and weather conditions.
  • Operate ground equipment such as plows, belt conveyors, and tractor pulls in crowded areas.
  • Load cargo into trucks and guarantee each bag reaches its destination.
  • Perform computer checks to confirm baggage has been properly delivered to the passenger’s destination.
  • Demonstrate safety‑conscious behavior in all work processes and procedures.
  • Perform repetitive tasks—squatting, bending, standing, walking, kneeling, and operating equipment—in sometimes extreme weather conditions.
