Job summary

Horizon Air in Santa Rosa, CA is seeking a Part-Time Ground Service Agent to assist with luggage, cargo handling, and aircraft movement while ensuring safe, on-time flights. You will work on the airport ramp in a fast-paced environment, performing weight-and-balance checks and security procedures to support flight operations.

The role requires a valid driver’s license, ability to lift 50 pounds, and a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Strong written and verbal communication skills required.
• Ability to juggle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Must have a valid unexpired driver’s license issued by a US state, a US territory or the District of Columbia.
• Ability to consistently lift 50 pounds.
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
• Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, reach and grasp.
• Ability to perform basic mathematics.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Ability to participate in paid training that may require overnight travel.
• Ability to obtain USPS Mail Handling Certification.
• Ability to obtain airport security clearance.
• Ability to communicate in English, high school diploma or equivalent, minimum age of 18, and authorization to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Load and offload luggage and cargo.
• Distribute paperwork to flight crews including fuel slips, load plans and cargo manifests.
• Marshals and pushes back aircraft.
• Prepare weight and balance forms and input weights into data systems.
• Service aircraft needs including lavatory, water, grooming, deicing and security searches.
• Operate and drive equipment such as belt-loaders and tugs.
• Execute aircraft tow operations as required.
