Job summary

Horizon Air in Pullman, WA is seeking a Ramp & Customer Service Agent to handle guest interactions and ramp tasks in a fast-paced outdoor setting. You will assist with travel needs, baggage handling, and boarding processes while ensuring guest satisfaction.

The position requires strong communication, the ability to lift 50 pounds, a valid US driver’s license, and a flexible schedule including nights and weekends. Starting wage is $18.27 per hour with paid training and benefits where applicable.

Qualifications

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to juggle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Must have a valid unexpired driver’s license issued by a US state.
• Ability to learn and operate a computerized reservation system.
• Typing speed of at least 25 WPM.
• Ability to consistently lift 50 pounds.
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
• Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, reach and grasp.
• Ability to perform basic mathematics.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Ability to participate in paid training that may require overnight travel.
• Depending on work location, ability to obtain USPS Mail Handling Certification.
• Ability to obtain airport security clearance.
• Ability to communicate in English.

Responsibilities

• Assist guests with travel needs in a fast-paced environment.
• Work outdoors in all weather while performing below wing functions.
• Performs aircraft grooming and security searches.
• Handle boarding and gate duties and announcements.
• Process and secure guest luggage and manage claims.
• Load and unload luggage and cargo.
• May perform duties of varying capacities to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
