Job summary

Horizon Air seeks aGround Service Agent in Santa Rosa, CA to support ramp operations, load/offload baggage, marshal aircraft, and ensure safe, timely flight services.

This fast-paced role requires physical fitness, reliability, and willingness to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays. Starting wage is USD 19.92 per hour with potential incentives and benefits.

Qualifications

• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Ability to juggle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Must have a valid unexpired driver’s license.
• Ability to consistently lift 50 pounds.
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
• Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, reach and grasp.
• Ability to perform basic mathematics.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Ability to participate in paid training; overnight travel may be required.
• Ability to obtain USPS Mail Handling Certification and airport security clearance.
• Must be able to communicate in English and be at least 18 with legal authorization to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Load and offload luggage and cargo, transporting to airport locations.
• Distribute paperwork to flight crews including fuel slips, load plans, cargo manifests and flight releases.
• Marshals and pushes back aircraft.
• Prepares weight and balance forms and inputs data into systems.
• Service aircraft including lavatory, potable water, grooming, deicing and security searches.
• Operates and drives equipment like belt-loaders, tugs, air-start units, bag carts, deice trucks.
• Execute aircraft tow operations as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
