Job summary

Alliance Ground International is seeking a Ramp Agent to join our California team. The role centers on safe, efficient ground support to keep flights on time. You will guide aircraft, move baggage, and operate equipment while following strict safety protocols.

We offer training, uniforms, and a comprehensive benefits package. Candidates should be at least 18 with a HS diploma or equivalent and be authorized to work in the U.S. This is a frontline, outdoors role with variable hours.

Qualifications

  • Be at least 18 years of age and possess a high school diploma, GED, or work experience equivalent.
  • Possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • If work location is in the United States, must have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986.
  • Must complete ramp and SIDA training to obtain airport authority identification security.
  • If required by customer or role access, be able to secure a Customs Seal through the respective governing agency.
  • Preferred Qualifications - One+ year of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

  • Guide inbound/outbound airplanes to and from the gate.
  • Transport, load/unload, sort and transfer passenger baggage, cargo, and mail material in and out of aircraft bins, belt loader, or baggage carts in a safe manner.
  • Safeguards customer baggage, air cargo, airmail from weather, loss, theft and/or destruction.
  • Clean aircraft passenger cabins between flights and stock aircraft with needed supplies.
  • Operate heavy equipment such as pushback equipment and maintain visual contact with Wing Walkers to ensure the equipment is free of any danger.
  • Operate and/or drive motorized equipment, such as belt loaders, air start units, lift trucks, push back tugs, bag cart, lavatory cart, and deicers; or manually push and pull push carts and containers.
  • Receive and record customer baggage, air freight, mail, and company materials as required.
  • Pick up, deliver, and transport cargo and baggage to and from aircraft, which could include wheelchairs, strollers, live animals, and other vital property of passengers, and prepare records in connection with these responsibilities.
  • Complete paperwork and forms connected with work assignments pertaining to procedures and enter data into company's information system as required.
  • Follow company procedures and protocols to ensure we are always operating in a safe and responsible manner.
  • Complete all training when required by company, airport governing authority, or customer when required.
  • Be on time, be prepared, and be safe. Be willing to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
