Job summary

Alliance Ground International (AGI) is hiring Ramp Agents to support outdoor aviation operations across its U.S. and Canada network. You will guide aircraft, handle baggage and cargo, and operate various ground-support machines, while maintaining safety and efficiency.

The role demands physical stamina and a strong safety mindset. Responsibilities include equipment operation, record-keeping, and ensuring timely flight support.

Qualifications

• Good Communication Skills – Ramp Agents must be able to communicate information and instructions verbally and/or via radio equipment effectively in a professional manner with the flight crew, gate agents, and other ground crew to coordinate the movement and handling of planes, equipment, baggage, and cargo.
• Basic math skills: Ramp agents may be required to calculate weight and balance calculations for planes.
• Computer skills: Ramp agents may be required to use computer systems to track cargo and baggage.
• Problem-solving skills: Ramp agents may be called upon to troubleshoot issues during loading and unloading.
• Time management skills: Ramp agents must be able to manage their time effectively to complete tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Guide inbound/outbound airplanes to and from the gate.
• Transport, lift, load/unload, sort and transfer passenger baggage, cargo, and mail in/out of aircraft bins, belt loader, or baggage carts.
• Safeguards customer baggage, air cargo, airmail from weather, loss, theft, damage and/or destruction.
• Clean aircraft passenger cabins between flights and stock aircraft with needed supplies.
• Operate heavy equipment such as pushback equipment and maintain visual contact with Wing Walkers to ensure equipment is safe.
• Operate and/or drive motorized equipment, such as belt loaders, air start units, lift trucks, push back tugs, bag carts, lavatory carts, and deicers.
• Move luggage and cargo, tow planes between gates, and refill water tanks and lavatories.
• Receive and record customer baggage, air freight, mail, and company materials as required.
• Pick up, deliver, and transport cargo and baggage to and from aircraft, including wheelchairs, strollers, live animals, and other passenger property, and prepare records.
• Complete paperwork and enter data into the company's information system as required.
• Follow company procedures and safety protocols at all times.
• Complete required training.
• Be on time, be prepared, and be safe.
• Be willing to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
