The Ramp Agent role supports on-time flights by performing critical ground handling tasks, including baggage, cargo, and aircraft servicing, in a safety-conscious outdoor environment. Qualifications

• Good communication skills to coordinate with flight crew and ground crew.
• Basic math skills for weight and balance calculations.
• Computer skills to track cargo and baggage in the system.
• Problem-solving abilities to troubleshoot loading/unloading issues.
• Time management to complete tasks quickly in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Guide inbound/outbound airplanes to and from the gate.
• Transport, lift, load/unload, sort and transfer passenger baggage, cargo, and mail material in and out of aircraft bins, belt loader, or baggage carts in a safe manner.
• Safeguards customer baggage, air cargo, airmail from weather, loss, theft, damage and/or destruction.
• Clean aircraft passenger cabins between flights and stock aircraft with needed supplies.
• Operate heavy equipment such as pushback equipment and maintain visual contact with Wing Walkers to ensure the equipment is free of any danger.
• Operate and/or drive motorized equipment, such as belt loaders, air start units, lift trucks, push back tugs, bag cart, lavatory cart, and deicers; or manually push and pull push carts and containers.
• Receive and record customer baggage, air freight, mail, and company materials as required.
• Pick up, deliver, and transport cargo and baggage to and from aircraft, which could include wheelchairs, strollers, live animals, and other vital property of passengers, and prepare records in connection with these responsibilities.
• Complete paperwork and forms connected with work assignments pertaining to procedures and enter data into company's information system as required.
• Follow company procedures and protocols to ensure we are always operating in a safe and responsible manner.
• Complete all training when required by company, airport governing authority, or customer when required.
• Be on time, be prepared, and be safe. Be willing to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
