Ramp Customer Service Agents are scheduled to work between 20 to 40 hours per week. Tasks include bending, stooping, twisting, standing, walking, loading and stacking bags, often in confined spaces and adverse weather conditions.
Summary of responsibilities (not comprehensive):
- Safely lift, load, unload, and transport baggage, mail, and cargo to and from aircraft, ensuring on-time connections by guiding incoming and departing aircraft.
- Safeguard cargo, baggage, and mail from damage, loss, and weather.
- Operate ground equipment such as tugs, belt loaders, and tow tractors in congested areas.
- Repeatedly lift and load baggage onto carts, ensuring each bag reaches its destination.
- Operate baggage scanners and computers to route baggage and cargo correctly.
- Follow safety-conscious behaviors in all operational processes and procedures.

What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)

- High School diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- At least 18 years old.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Proficient in English.
- Basic computer skills.
- Strong verbal communication skills.
- Ability to lift bags weighing up to 50 pounds frequently and between 50-70 pounds occasionally.
- Willing to work fixed or rotating schedules, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and all weather conditions.
- Pass a drug test, physical ability test, and extensive background check, including fingerprinting.
- Authorized to work in the US.
- Wearing required PPE such as hearing protection, safety-toe footwear, safety headwear, and high-visibility clothing.
