Job summary

HNTB Corporation’s Raleigh, NC office seeks a Project Engineer - Team Lead to join the Hydraulics design team. You’ll produce and modify design calculations, technical reports, plans and specs for complex DOT projects and mentor junior staff while collaborating with the project manager to deliver on time and within budget.

You’ll guide work across disciplines, participate in marketing and scope development, recruit and develop staff, and ensure quality deliverables aligned with NCDOT standards

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and 6 years of relevant experience.
• Master’s degree in Engineering and 5 years of relevant experience.
• PhD in Engineering and 4 years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Plan and distribute discipline-specific work, ensuring schedule and budget adherence.
• Assist in marketing responsibilities, including proposal generation.
• Oversee accuracy of the project team’s work within the discipline.
• Guide and mentor team toward project objectives.
• Coordinate technical aspects with client counterparts and partners.
