STV, Inc. invites applications for a Hydraulics Senior Engineering Specialist in our Transportation Group in Raleigh, NC.

The role leads design teams on AD projects and provides technical drainage expertise across municipalities and DOTs in the South Region. You will manage and mentor staff, coordinate with subconsultants, and ensure compliance with codes, delivering effective drainage designs while advancing client relationships.

Qualifications

• Extensive Hydrologic and Hydraulic Design experience on AD Transportation Projects in the South Region.
• Experience serving as a Discipline Lead, Sub-Discipline Lead, or Deputy Discipline Lead on projects of varying size and complexity.
• Experience acting as a client liaison.
• Proven track record delivering Drainage designs for municipalities & DOTs throughout the South Region.
• Strong leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Function as a Sub-Discipline Lead or Deputy Discipline Lead on AD projects, responsible for the work of the technical group.
• Plan, direct, and supervise the work of a design team requiring organization of manpower and financial accountability.
• Lead other engineers and design personnel in technical excellence and growth.
• Provide technical consultations for interdisciplinary analytical studies and analyses.
• Ensure design compliance with all applicable codes and regulations, providing the seal and signature of the PE when required by statute or contract.
• Prepare material/equipment technical specifications.
• Coordinate subconsultant work as necessary.
• Maintain affiliation with professional societies to keep abreast of current technologies.
• Help determine budget estimates and staffing requirements for the defined scope and schedule.
• May assist with other administrative and technical duties.
• Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
