Job summary

HIAS seeks a Development Data Specialist to manage Raiser's Edge NXT data workflows, support data requests, and maintain accurate constituent records within a nonprofit fundraising context.

This role collaborates with the Revenue Operations team to produce routine and ad hoc reports, optimize data quality, and support campaigns through precise data management and documentation. Based in the US, the position offers hybrid work options.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in a relevant field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 2–4 years of direct experience in Raiser’s Edge or Raiser’s Edge NXT in a nonprofit fundraising environment.
• Experience creating database queries, reports, and exports to support fundraising operations and reporting needs.
• Strong knowledge of nonprofit data hygiene, including NCOA/CASS processing, deduplication, and gift coding standards.
• Proficiency in Excel with large data files, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and pivot tables.
• Experience with or for a Jewish organization is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Process and fulfill RENXT data requests, including list pulls, segmentation, queries, and exports.
• Perform routine data maintenance: address updates, returned mail processing, deceased records, and quality tasks.
• Create and maintain queries, exports, and constituent groups to support fundraising operations.
• Apply and maintain constituent coding structures and communication preferences.
• Support data imports/exports and integration between RENXT and third-party platforms.
• Maintain documentation for database processes and reporting workflows.
• Identify data discrepancies and communicate findings for resolution.
• Prepare and distribute data files for fundraising campaigns.
