Job summary

Norfolk Southern's Communications and Signals (C&S) Leadership Trainee program is a 44- to 52+ week growth track designed to build your leadership skills and technical expertise in railway signaling, installation, operation, and inspection.

As you progress, you will lead 8–15 technicians, travel and relocate as needed, support 24/7 operations, and complete certification requirements that prepare you for a C&S Supervisor role and future regional management.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree (AS) or Bachelor's Degree (BS) in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Wireless Engineering, or RF Engineering.
• Military leadership experience is highly valued.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of 8-15 union technicians with humility and trust.
• Demonstrate strong electrical operating capabilities.

• Troubleshoot technical issues effectively.
