Job summary

Norfolk Southern is launching a Communications and Signals Leadership Trainee program designed to develop leadership skills and technical expertise for a future C&S Supervisor role. You will build relationships with current supervisors and lead teams while gaining hands-on experience in signaling, installation, operation, and inspection.

The program lasts 44-52+ weeks with certification requirements and relocation/travel as needed to support NS operations.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Wireless Engineering, or RF Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of 8-15 technicians with humility and trust.
• Learn effective leadership techniques to manage teams of 8-15 technicians.
• Gain hands-on experience in railroad signaling, installation, operation, and inspection.
• Travel, work outside of normal business hours, and adapt to a flexible schedule to support our 24/7 operations.
