Job summary

Norfolk Southern offers a 40-52+ week Communications and Signals Leadership Trainee program designed to develop your leadership skills and technical expertise. You will work with current C&S supervisors, learn to manage teams, and gain hands-on experience in railroad signaling, installation, operation, and inspection.

The program requires relocation/travel as needed and expects you to complete certification requirements.

Qualifications

  • AS or BS in Electrical, Electronics, Wireless, or RF Engineering.
  • Military leadership experience valued.
  • Relocation and travel required.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of 8-15 union technicians.
  • Demonstrate strong electrical operating capabilities.
  • Make informed decisions to achieve exceptional results.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues effectively.
  • Communicate and collaborate efficiently.
  • Possess knowledge of radio technology.
