Job summary

Loram Maintenance of Way, Inc. is seeking a Machine Operator 1 for field-based work operating, maintaining and repairing railway maintenance equipment. You will support on-track operations and report daily field data, expenses, and lodging.

This role requires strict safety adherence and the ability to work across various platforms as needed. Qualified candidates have 2+ years mechanical/electrical/hydraulic experience, a valid driver’s license, and the capability to document operations clearly.

Qualifications

• 3+ months Loram equipment experience in a 24/7 environment (internal).
• External: 2+ years of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and machine operations experience.
• Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and pass pre-employment checks.
• CPR/First Aid and railroad certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety briefs during operations and maintenance shifts.
• Inspect machines, identify problems, and report to supervision.
• Record parts usage and complete daily field and expense reporting.
• Perform maintenance and repairs per schedules and policies.
