Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting preferred.
• 1–3 years of related work experience is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Assist in closing and reporting; prepare journal entries and reconcile general ledger accounts.
• Analyze financial statements relative to reserves, assets, and expenditures.
• Coordinate with other departments to provide financial support for railroads.
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and analyze variances.
• Support internal and external audits and ensure internal controls are followed.
• Participate in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
• Contribute to special projects and ad hoc accounting tasks.
