Job summary

Loram Maintenance of Way, Inc. is seeking a Service Technician to provide customer service and maintenance within a defined region. The role focuses on maintaining unit uptime to meet customer expectations and support railroad fuel economy and wheel/rail life.

The position requires traveling, performing lubrication services on top of rail and gauge face units, and managing field service activities. Strong communication and safety training are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Must obtain and maintain railroad safety training/certifications.
• Ability to obtain a CDL.
• Associate degree in Electrical or Mechanical preferred.
• 1+ years field service experience with customer facing role.
• 2+ years railroad environment, field service, and basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Lubricate top of rail and gauge face units per guidelines.
• Perform lubrication service program for railroad customers.
• Use logic to diagnose problems and find effective solutions.
• Plan and manage maintenance vehicle inventory and schedules.
• Process work orders, delivery tickets, warranties, and returns.
• Build customer and supplier relations; work with Sales to meet expectations.
