R.J. Corman Railroad Co Central KY Line is seeking a hands-on equipment operator to support inspection, installation and maintenance of railroad track.

The role requires operating backhoe, crew truck, excavator and other specialized gear, with an emphasis on safety and adherence to DOT regulations. This full-time position offers comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, life and disability coverage, 401(k) and paid time off.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated operation experience and equipment knowledge.
• CDL-B License required.
• Basic mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot simple mechanical failures.
• Railroad construction or maintenance experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate Backhoe, Crew Truck, Excavator and other equipment for track maintenance and inspection.
• Perform preventative maintenance on heavy or specialized equipment.
• Maintain equipment appearance and cleanliness.
• May perform labor duties as needed.
• Communicate with supervisor throughout the job process.
• Ensure PPE usage and safe working conditions; follow DOT regulations and permits.
