The R.J. Corman Railroad Company is seeking a Backhoe Operator/Laborer to join our team on our short line through Middlesboro, KY and Harrogate, TN.

The role involves operating backhoes and performing labor duties, with emphasis on safety, equipment maintenance, and adherence to DOT regulations. Qualifications

• Experience operating backhoes or similar heavy equipment.
• Basics in mechanical troubleshooting.
• Railroad construction/maintenance experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate specialized equipment such as backhoe.
• Perform preventative maintenance on heavy equipment.
• Maintain equipment appearance and cleanliness.
• May perform labor duties as needed.
• Communicate with supervisor throughout the job process.
• Ensure safe work conditions and proper PPE.
• Follow DOT regulations and permits.
