Job summary

Amtrak is seeking a Lead Construction Specialist for the Connecticut River Bridge Project in Hamden, CT. You will oversee construction efforts and coordinate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery while maintaining safety and quality standards.

You will lead site activities, review changes, and prepare weekly and monthly status reports. The role requires strong leadership, communication, and a track record in complex projects within a railroad

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required or equivalent combination of training, education and relevant experience.
• 6+ years of relevant experience in construction or railroad projects.
• PMI/CCM/PMP certifications preferred for advanced roles.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee construction activities to meet scope, schedule and budget.
• Lead coordination with contractors, engineers, and site personnel to ensure safety and quality.
• Prepare reports and updates for project managers detailing progress and risks.
