Amtrak seeks a Lead Construction Specialist for the Connecticut River Bridge Project. You will oversee and coordinate construction activities, working with program managers, engineers, contractors and vendors to ensure scope, schedule, cost, quality, and safety requirements are met.

The role requires strong leadership, scheduling, budgeting, and problem solving, with field experience in railroad environments preferred. Onsite work with occasional travel and weekend coverage.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent plus relevant experience.
• 6+ years in construction or related field.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organization.
• Experience coordinating with multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Assist/lead coordinate construction activities to meet scope, schedule, cost and safety goals.
• Work with project managers, engineers, contractors, and vendors.
• Prepare and review change notices with justification.
• Ensure adherence to Site Safety Work Plans with contractors and Amtrak staff.
• Coordinate track outages and outage plans as required.
• Provide weekly and monthly status reports to project/ program managers.
• Develop and revise technical work procedures aligned with design and construction.
• Analyze problems and propose solutions within project guidelines.
• Organize multiple projects, set priorities, and meet deadlines.
• Attend progress meetings and report on project status.
