Qualifications

• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks with attention to detail.
• Ability to read blueprints and work orders.
• Ability to operate welding, cutting, gouging, inspecting and testing tools.
• Ability to perform complex weld repairs in flat and horizontal positions.

Responsibilities

• Establishes and maintains knowledge of AAR repair procedures and complies with regulations and QA standards.
• Performs refurbishing/repairs to rail car components using welders, grinders, and related tools.
• Performs Dye Penetrant Non-Destructive Testing for material and welds.
• Works under supervision and communicates needs for materials/equipment.
• Performs special repair processes based on customer work orders.
• Adjusts welder/feeder settings and maintains tools.
