Job summary

Greenbrier Companies, Inc. is seeking a Welder 2 to perform quality welding of railcar parts and fixtures in our manufacturing environment. You will inspect welds, perform manual and semi-automatic welding, and assemble components using welding machines, torches, and hand tools.

• Minimum qualifications include ability to pass weld assessments and read blueprints.
• Ability to use weld gauges and computers; teamwork-focused.
• Preferred: High school diploma or equivalent and forklift/overhead crane experience.

Responsibilities

• Fits, aligns, and clamps work for welding.
• Performs manual or semi-automatic arc welding on production line.
• Follows Weld Procedure Sheets and inspects welds for quality.
• Maintains safety and housekeeping standards.
• Trains other welders on the job when requested.
