Job summary

Qualifications

• Willingness to learn forklift and overhead crane operations and obtain certifications.

Responsibilities

• Fits, aligns, and clamps tank car parts for welding per procedures.
• Operates weld machines with controlled heat and travel to ensure penetration.
• Visually inspects welds and performs minor repairs as needed.
• Assists in training other welders on the job.
• Reads blueprints/drawings and adheres to procedures.
• Maintains safety and housekeeping standards and performs other duties as directed.
