Job summary

Eagle Railcar Management, LLC seeks a Railcar Repairman to perform comprehensive repairs and maintenance on railcars. You will read blueprints, follow FRA & AAR rules, and maintain repair records with precision.

The role involves testing units, fabricating fittings, and ensuring safety standards are met while working with heavy equipment in a demanding environment. This full-time position requires physical stamina, the ability to lift up to 75 pounds (team lift to 150 pounds), and the capacity

Qualifications

• High School Diploma (or GED) required.
• Previous Railcar Repair experience preferred.
• Ability to pass Jacket Welding Test preferred.
• Experienced Structural Welder preferred.

Responsibilities

• Repair or replace defective parts using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment.
• Test units for operability before and after repairs.
• Record conditions of cars and repair work performed.
• Inspect bearings, seals, wheels, and coupler assemblies to determine repairs.
• Repair and maintain electrical and electronic controls for propulsion and braking systems.
• Disassemble units to access components and perform repairs.
